Ganser Syndrome: on the state of consciousness as a discriminating factor and on its feasible endogeneity

The state of consciousness in Ganser’s syndrome is one of the important features that allows proper differential diagnosis with other conditions. Assessing this component with careful analysis is a priority for the clinician. Categorical framing of the pathology would need re-evaluation based on phenomenological psychopathology, briefly mentioned here, which
could provide a more careful analysis on the origin of the morbid picture.
